INTEGRATED CLINICAL PSYCHOANALYSIS TRAINING
Learning to listen changes the position of the listener.
An independent, non-degree 1,600-hour online programme with 57 modules, structured so that theory, personal analysis, supervision, study, practice and writing are never treated as disposable parts.
INTERNATIONAL SCOPE
This programme is currently delivered in Portuguese as an independent, non-degree online course under Brazilian conditions. It does not confer a regulated professional title or an automatic right to practise in another jurisdiction. The contract, checkout and tuition are in Portuguese and Brazilian reais.

- 57 modules
- 4 training cycles

- 12–24 anticipated months
- ONLINE independent, non-degree course
Content is necessary. Training requires subjective involvement.
Studying psychoanalysis is neither collecting concepts nor receiving a ready-made technique. It means building the conditions to read the unconscious, recognise the limits of one’s own knowledge, and answer for the way one occupies the position of listening.
That is why this path does not separate theory from experience. Reading meets personal analysis; practice meets supervision; the case meets writing; and every advance requires time for working-through.
A progressive path, not a collection of classes.
Each cycle brings greater complexity and responsibility. The passage into practice is not driven by haste or by the simple consumption of content.
CYCLE I · 350h — Entering the psychoanalytic field
History, foundations, method, a reading of Freud, and concepts that make it possible to distinguish psychoanalysis from counselling, self-help and other practices.
CYCLE II · 400h — Constructing analytic listening and technique
Transference, resistance, the analytic setting, interviews, clinical handling, writing, and authors who broaden our understanding of psychic constitution and clinical work.
CYCLE III · 400h — Reading the clinic in the present
Suffering, bonds, culture, diversity and contemporary questions, studied without abandoning psychoanalytic foundations.
CYCLE IV · 450h — Assuming responsibility for practice
Supervised training practice, case construction, clinical elaboration, research, capstone paper and oral defence.
There is no responsible clinical training without work on oneself, study and supervision.
100h · PERSONAL ANALYSIS
A place of one’s own in which to work through implications, repetitions and blind spots when preparing to hold another person’s speech.
100h · CLINICAL SUPERVISION
Elaboration of clinical handling, transference, decisions and limits encountered in supervised practice.
100h · STUDY GROUP
Shared reading, theoretical exchange and the construction of thought beyond solitary study.
Firm foundations. Dialogue without hurried conflation.
Freud establishes the foundation. Other authors enter as interlocutors who deepen specific clinical questions while conceptual differences and historical contexts remain intact.
- Sigmund Freud
- Jacques Lacan
- Wilfred Bion
- Sándor Ferenczi
- Donald Winnicott
- Melanie Klein
- Marion Minerbo
FREUD · The unconscious · transference · repetition
The foundation for reading psychic conflict, symptom formation, dream-work, and what returns beyond conscious intention.
FERENCZI · Trauma · trust · technique
A decisive interlocutor for thinking about asymmetry, disavowal, clinical sensitivity and the risks of a technique that shelters behind neutrality.
KLEIN · Unconscious phantasy · projection · positions
Resources for understanding primitive anxieties, object relations, splitting, idealisation and reparation without reducing the complexity of psychic life.
WINNICOTT · Environment · continuity of being · true and false self
A theory of maturation and holding that asks what makes it possible to exist, play, create and depend without disappearing into the other’s desire.
BION · Container–contained · alpha function · thinking
A clinical approach attentive to the transformation of emotional experience and to the capacity to tolerate not-knowing before producing hasty interpretations.
LACAN · Language · desire · Big Other
A return to Freud that relocates the subject within language and examines lack, jouissance, discourse and the knowledge attributed to the one who occupies the place of listening.
These axes present the Training’s field of reading; the distribution of authors, texts and activities follows the current curriculum and pedagogical plan.
From concept to clinical responsibility.
- Distinguish psychoanalytic listening from advice, coaching and promises of solutions
- Read transference, resistance, repetition and modes of defence
- Sustain the analytic setting, frame, confidentiality and professional boundaries
- Construct a case without exposing or reducing the person receiving care
- Write, research and argue with an authorial voice
- Recognise when to refer and when not to occupy a clinical position
Participation is not the same as completion.
- Attendance and participation in mandatory activities
- Readings, assessments and written work
- Evidence of completion of the three analytic pillars
- Monitored and supervised training practice
- Capstone paper (Brazilian TCC)
- Oral defence and compliance with institutional criteria
Entering with clarity is also part of the training.

Is the training recognised by MEC?
Psychoanalysis is offered in Brazil through an independent, non-degree training framework. This course is neither an undergraduate nor a postgraduate programme regulated by Brazil’s Ministry of Education (MEC).
Who may apply?
People aged 18 or over who have completed upper-secondary education and are available to meet the programme’s academic, ethical and personal requirements. A university degree is not required.
How long does it take?
The curriculum totals 1,600 hours across four cycles and 57 modules. The anticipated completion period is 12 to 24 months, depending on pace and fulfilment of all mandatory activities.
Is it entirely online?
Yes. Classes, meetings, groups and academic activities take place online. Participation still requires presence, reading, writing and compliance with the programme’s criteria.
May I begin seeing patients immediately?
No. Enrolment or access to classes does not authorise immediate clinical practice. Entry into practice depends on theoretical foundations, personal analysis, supervision, institutional criteria and ongoing oversight.
Does the certificate authorise independent clinical practice?
Not automatically. Completion attests to the independent, non-degree training undertaken at the institution; ethical responsibility, continuing education, personal analysis, supervision and professional boundaries remain indispensable.
How do personal analysis, supervision and the study group work?
Each pillar has a mandatory minimum of 100 hours. Participation formats, evidence requirements, eligible practitioners and any additional costs must be reviewed in the regulations and confirmed with the Institute before enrolment.
